After work today I ran out to the pedestrian bridge to see if I could catch a shot of the supermoon over the Capitol. Turns out I was a wee bit early and did not want to spend an hour and a half (!) waiting for the moonrise. So I shot a few cityscapes and called it an evening.

Trying to decide what’s next on the photography wish list . . . a bigger telephoto lens or a teleconverter. Had to crop a lot of black sky out.

I am thankful for and grateful to all of those willing to protect and defend our nation. Thank you for your service.

I am thankful for expressions of unconditional brotherly love.

I am thankful for the United States of America and for its federal constitutional republic government. Some of my choices won yesterday, some lost; I pray for all of our leaders and citizenry.

I am thankful for miracles – both the old fashioned kind and miracles of modern technology.
